PATNA: Bhai log ... Dalit bhai, peechhda bhai, sabhi dharmon ke bhai... matayen, behne ... lalten uthayen ... lalten par button dabayen ...

Normally, these words would not evoke too much of response from people. But, it is different when Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi herself goes on shouting these words from her "rath" on the roads of Patna.

On the last day of campaigning for the first phase of Lok Sabha polls, Rabri left her residence on her picturesque "Garib Chetna Rath" to ask for votes, that too in a typical style, mostly used by professional campaigners.
Onlookers gathered in large numbers on roadsides to see and hear the CM pleading for votes.

"Dawa ghotala (read C P Thakur) ko vote nahi dena hai. Doctor ka apaharan karne wala ko vote nahi dena hai. Samjhe na bhai. Sirf lalten vikas dega aur rojgar bhi dega...," she went on and on, stopping only for a quick sip of water after which she started again in her rustic style.

"Bharat sarkar kafan (sic) chor hai. Itna ghotala kiya hai ki ginane se nahi ginaayega," she said.

"Help Laloo form a government at the Centre. Only he will bring development to the country," she said. However, she did not forget to repeat the chorus -- "Bhai log, lalten ko vote dijiye" -- every now and then.

Talking to mediapersons accompanying her on the "rath", she said, "We are going to win 400 seats in India. We have been getting feedback from all quarters."

"Bihar ki janata hamlog ke liye pagal hai. Unlog lalten chhod kar kisi par vote nahi dalenge," she said.

When asked about BJP''s Bollywood campaigners, she replied in her inimitable style, "Goli mariye hero-heroine ko. Unlog se thode vote milta hai. Yahan Laloo ek number hero hai aur ham unki heroine hain. Bihar ka janata hamlog ke hero heroine samajhta hai."
<formid=367815></formid=367815>
